WordPress Performance & Scalability

Promise

Slow WordPress is a solvable problem. I find what’s actually slow, fix it, and show you the numbers.

Who this is for

  • Traffic spikes take you down, or you over-provision to avoid finding out
  • Time to first byte is measured in seconds and nobody knows why
  • Your database has grown past the point where anyone understands it
  • Someone told you to “add caching” and it didn’t help

What you get

  • A written audit: what’s slow, why, ranked by impact against effort
  • Before-and-after numbers on the metrics that matter to you — TTFB, p95 response time, queries per request
  • Caching strategy across object cache, page cache, and CDN, configured for how your site actually behaves
  • MySQL and query optimization: slow query analysis, indexing, cleaning up the plugin that’s doing 400 queries per page load
  • PHP profiling with XDebug and New Relic to find the real hot paths
  • Implementation, or a prioritized plan your team can execute

How it works

  1. Instrument (2–3 days). New Relic or equivalent, plus profiling under realistic load. No guessing.
  2. Audit and report (1 week). You get the written report whether or not you hire me for the fixes. It’s yours.
  3. Implementation (1–4 weeks, optional). Highest-impact items first, measured after each.
  4. Verification. Same benchmarks, same conditions, side by side.

The audit is available as a standalone, fixed-price product, with the comprehensive report as the deliverable. The report is yours to keep, whether or not we collaborate. If you’re interested in discussing pricing or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out; I’d love to connect with you.
